FAQ

1. What do we do with the materials we recover?

All the materials we recover are treated in our plant and then sent to authorized transformation centres where they are reused in the manufacture of new goods and products in current use.

2. What do we do with the oils and other dangerous materials we recover?
Oils, mercury or ODS are safely stored on the premises even before they are shipped out to the authorized centres for the energetic value of oils, recycling of mercury and high temperature destruction of ODS in the hazardous waste incinerator. The ODS destruction process is carried out at such high heat that the efficiency surpasses 99.99%.

3. What is the guarantee that the materials we collect will be recycled?
Recyclage ÉcoSolutions is subjected to a rigorous follow-up and control process in each of its operations. The different re-users of the materials all possess the necessary permits. In addition, we ourselves are subjected to monthly environmental audits by a third party and we also have to produce a monthly recycling report.

4. Do you have the required authorizations?

Recyclage ÉcoSolutions has all the required authorizations to operate its Laval recycling centre. We have a certificate of authorization issued by Quebec’s sustainable development and environment and parks ministry, (Ministère du développement durable, de l’environnement et des parcs), as well as a certificate of conformity issued by Ville de Laval.
